“My greatest mentor was a woman”
The great mentor behind a successful man is a woman, his mother, sister, wife or friend. However, who is the mentor behind a woman?
I have always believed that the first mentor for a woman is herself, and once she lose herself somewhere and doesn’t know how to get back, her mentor is another woman but is it really always like that? Do all women support and be such a great guide and mentor to each other?
We are always busy blaming men for being non-supportive and judging towards women. It is obvious that we are so busy blaming men that we forgot to take a moment, look around, and see the reality. As much as we see women supporting each other, helping each other going through rough times and having each other’s back, as much as we see a lot criticizing and being helpless if not competitive and mean towards other’s women. I can give you a dozen of examples that I bet each one of us faced at least once in her life.
In 28 of March 2016, a conducted study with over 2,300 women across the USA age 18 and older learned that just 37% of women think that women are supportive of one another. Even if the numbers are very low, Americans influencers are not surprised of it. According the study findings, the younger you are the more likely you think that women do not support each other that is due to being trained since a very early age to view each other as competition. II AMA, at Oprah winery’s Show once said, “There’s a principle of the success that says that the way to achieve your own success is to be willing to help somebody else got if first” and this is the absolute key thing; the truly successful, powerful people want other people to be empowered.
If just, we, all the woman of all ages and all over the world stop looking at each other’s as enemies, try to improve ourselves and everyone around us we will achieve amazing things and put an end of any kind of underestimating toward women and none will be ever able to put us down again.
This is a recall to women from all around the world, let us be the power!
